H.R.G.: Sonic Memoriam

Begun on May 13, 2014 (the day after H.R. Giger's death), this album has been a 6 year project inspired by the art work of H.R. Giger.

Using synths, samples, and a variety of programmed percussion, this album animates selected paintings by Giger. It captures his biomechanical style while evoking the dark psychological themes and moods of his surreal landscapes.

As Jodorowsky said of Giger's style, "...it is an ill-art..." in how it reveals the human heart and mind. This album personifies this spirit as it depicts Tibbits' personal reflections on "the dark knight of the soul," and the integration of self.
